ALREADY ACQUIRED LANDS FOR THESE CAMPUSES

Aligned Data Centers has announced a new expansion project in the Phoenix market with plans to develop two mega data center campuses.

With the acquisition of two new lands in Phoenix, Aligned plans to deliver a total of over 400MW load capacity and approximately 2 million square feet to the market. These mega campuses will also feature a combination of Aligned’s Delta³™ cooling technology with a waterless heat rejection system to enable preservation of local water resources.

“Aligned is focused on meeting the capacity demands of our customers today, while constantly innovating across every aspect of our business to ensure their future data center requirements will be met long term,” said Andrew Schaap, CEO of Aligned.

“Our expansion in greater Phoenix is an example of Aligned’s power-first approach to asset procurement as well as strategic investments across our design and construction, supply chain and vendor managed inventory program, and team to deliver capacity at maximum speed and scale.”

This announcement joins the company’s recent expansion projects which include the development of DFW-02 at the Aligned’s 19-acre, flagship campus in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area. Once fully built, DFW-02 is expected to offer 36MW of critical capacity across 185,000 square feet of data hall space.

Earlier this year, Aligned also announced the expansion of its Phoenix flagship hyperscale campus with plans to develop the fourth data center on the site, codenamed PHX-05.

Aligned also announced in July that it plans to develop a second hyperscale data center campus in Sterling, Northern Virginia. This campus is a 10-acre, carrier-neutral, hyperscale facility which is designed to feature two data center buildings, planned to deliver 72MW and 430,000 square feet of data center capacity across four floors when fully developed.

In Chicago, Aligned is developing a 36MW data center, ORD-02, which follows the opening of ORD-01 in May that spans 220,000 square-foot, and expected to deliver 48MW of IT power capacity upon full build. Expandable to about 60MW, ORD-01 is the flagship data center on Aligned’s 18.5 acre Chicagoland campus.
