A PORTABLE COLOCATION FACILITY

Georgia based colocation service provider Colo Atl, has announced the opening of its new Edge data center located in the Ben Hill, about 10 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta.

According the company, the new data center is now ready for customers’ onboarding, and will serve as an additional interconnection and colocation facility, as well as an alternative location to the centralized metro data centers.

As a portable facility on the network edge, the new data center features 360 square feet of floor area, 100KW of power capacity, 20 quarter-cabinet lockers, and 3 full cabinets; all for customers. The facility is developed to be a neutral-host edge data center and directly connected via dark fiber to Colo Atl at 55 Marietta downtown.

Colo Atl is a fully-owned subsidiary of American Tower, a telecommunications company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, with operations across the United States and in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Ghana, India, Kenya, Mexico, Nigeria, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa and Uganda.
