ITS 12TH FRENCH DATA CENTER

Interxion, a Digital Realty data center services company has just announced the opening of its latest European data center in Paris, a 12MW IT load capacity facility designed to deliver a dynamic community for customers to deploy network hubs on PlatformDIGITAL®.

The new facility, code named PAR12 is Interxion’s 12th data center in the French capital region located about 30 kilometers east of Paris, featuring eight data halls providing over 690 meter square of new colocation facilities which is expected to allow enterprise customers deploy disaster recovery scenarios from Paris and the east of France using the available low latency network.

“This new strategic location meets the strong demand from content and cloud providers, who are interested in a third hub in the Paris region. It will also allow companies in the east of France to improve the resilience of their infrastructure by being located close to Paris, while being connected to a high-performance low latency network.  It marks a new chapter in Interxion’s development in France to continue to meet customers’ demand,” said Fabrice Coquio, Managing Director, Interxion France.

Being part of PlatformDIGITAL®’s strategic development in France, PAR12 is expected to enable customers deploy their critical infrastructure bringing together a connected data community of network, cloud and content providers as well as enterprise customers.

In April 2020, Interxion announced the construction of its second campus Paris Digital Park in France designed to house four data centers PAR8, PAR9, PAR10 and PAR11 which together provides a capacity of 85MW to Interxion’s customers across 40,000 square meter of space.

According to Interxion, PAR8 one of the 4 data centers will be the first to go live on the campus which is expected to be late this year 2021 and designed to offer a total of 9,600 square meter space and 19MW power capacity.
