THEIR FIRST DATA CENTER IN THE COUNTRY

The Web Werks – Iron Mountain Data Centers (IMDC) Joint Venture, has just announced the launch of their first data center in India, sited in their Bengaluru campus.

Codenamed BLR-1, the new data center is situated in an 80,000 square feet facility and is claimed to be a Tier III-designed data center, which is expected to support up to 4MW of IT load.

“Web Werks Bengaluru data center will cater to the increasing demand from Hyperscaler and enterprises. We look forward to providing our new customers in South India with reliable and scalable colocation, cloud, storage, and network services. The addition of this data center is part of our national expansion and we are grateful to the Government of Karnataka for their support,” said Nikhil Rathi, Founder & CEO, Web Werks commented,

Located in the prime area of Whitefield, Bengaluru, the new data center is planned to further bolster Web Werks – Iron Mountain JV’s commitment to continue their expansion into existing markets of Mumbai, Pune and Noida.

Recently, the joint venture also announced the launch  of their first greenfield data center, located in Navi Mumbai, India. Codenamed MUM-2, the data center facility which is stated to have been built within 18 months of being announced, is sited on a 120,000 square feet campus, adjacent to the Web Werks Mumbai-1 data center in Navi Mumbai.
