INCREASING ECOSTRUXURE™ MDC FOOTPRINT

Energy and automation digital solutions provider, Schneider Electric has today announced that its EcoStruxure™ Micro Data Center R-Series designed for rugged indoor environments will be available in Europe by June 2021.

As announced, the new R-Series is IP and NEMA rated, designed to offer a resilient and quick-to-deploy solution to help manage edge computing infrastructure within challenging industrial and manufacturing environments.

The Schneider EcoStruxure™ is described as an open, interoperable, IoT-enabled system architecture and platform designed to deliver enhanced value around safety, reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and connectivity for customers while leveraging advancements in IoT, mobility, sensing, cloud, analytics, and cybersecurity.

According to the company, the R-Series reinforces the benefits of its EcoStruxure Micro Data Center solutions including saving field engineering and maintenance costs, pre-packaged, configurable, enclosed rack systems that include power, cooling, security, and management while helping customers alleviate difficulties.

Furthermore, the new series is equipped with capabilities such as remote management when there’s limited-to-no on-site IT staff, equipped with security features such as access control, intrusion detection and security camera as well as the ability to standardize design across multiple environments with a single, all-in-one-solution.

Utilizing its EcoStruxure IT Software & Digital Services, Schneider Electric also recently announced the launch of its Edge Software & Digital Services Program – a suite of support tools, benefits and certifications that enables IT solution providers create Managed Power Services practice.
